Books of Sliven writers, published in 2010 were presented Fifty-seven books by authors from Sliven region, issued in 2010, were presented during the first for the new year Friday Literary Readings held on January 28 in “Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library. The event is traditional in the cultural calendar of the library and it helps Sliven artists meet their critics and readers. Before the start of the readings with a minute of silence was honored the memory of the writers Atanas Slavov and Vasya Raeva. Nineteen books of poetry were issued last year. Their authors are eminent artists like Petya Alexandrova, Denyo Denev, Kamen Vasevski, Nadia Nedelina etc. There were also many books of young poets. Among them were the lyrical messages of Nicoletta Manolova, Theodora Peneva, Denislav Stoycheva. Fifteen books of fiction - novels, short stories, travelogues, essays, biographies have been published last year. Among the authors were eminent writers like Atanas Slavov, Vasya Raeva, Sonya Kelevedjieva etc. The presentation included the books of His Eminence Sliven Metropolitan bishop Yoanikiy "Pearls of the spiritual treasure of the Church Fathers"-II part and the second edition of the book "Messages, sermons and speeches”. Large number of books on the different parts of knowledge were published in 2010 - publicistic collections, books about the region, literary and artistic studies, researches on church music, collections of songs, the unique work of four volumes “Philosophy of chess”, bibliographic publications, catalogs, teaching material etc. A significant part of the books included in the presentation were printed in Sliven by the publishing houses "Jajda", "Obnova" and "Compass" as well as by famous national publishers such as "Bulgarian writer", "Bulgarian knizhitsi", "Guttenberg", "Letera etc. “Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library published in 2010 two editions: a collection of award-winning works from the National literary competition "One day in Wonderland” held within the XII National Festival of Children's Book and Proceedings of the Round table "Comics for children”. The output of Sliven writers was presented by Tenko Tenev – a poet, a chairman of the Association of Writers in the town of Yambol and the literary critic Dimitar Bechev – a director of “Georgi Rakovski " Library - Yambol. |
