First meeting of the organizing committee of the VIII National Children’s Book Festival was held

The first meeting of the organizing committee of the VIII National Children’s Book Festival was held on February 17th, 2006. The Festival will take place in Sliven from 8 to 10 of May 2006 under the aegis of Mrs. Zorka Parvanova. Mr. Jordan Lechkov- the Mayor of Sliven is the chairman of the organizing committee. Other members are eminent public figures and professionals like Mr. Igor Chipev – director of the National Book Centre, Mr. Radostin Kojchev – vice-governor, Mr. Ivan Hristov – president of “Rotary” Club – Sliven, Mrs. Dora Eskidarova – head of “Culture” department in Sliven municipality, Mr. Jordan Berberov - head of “Education” department in Sliven municipality, Mr. Evgeni Sivov – director of “Stefan Kirov” State Theatre, Mr. Svetoslav Milev – director of the Art Gallery in Sliven etc.
