On December 20 in the libraries of Kotel Municipality, Sliven District were officially opened computer halls equipped by project "Global Libraries Bulgaria” – First stage
The official opening ceremonies for the computer facilities in libraries of
community centre “Anastas Kipilovski "-Kipilovo village, community centre
“Probuda| - Streltsi village and Municipal Library “P. Mateev"- Kotel, held
on December 20 /Ignazhden/ became real celebrations of the local community .
At 3.00 pm the
regional project coordinator for Sliven region Rosica Petrova-Vasileva and
the Mayor of Streltsi village Adem Ademov officially opened the computer
room at the library of community centre “Probuda”. In the great hall of the
library, in front of the gathered more than 250 villagers, about the
benefits of the participation of the Library in Project “Global
Libraries-Bulgaria" for the local community a speech was read by Rosica
Petrova-Vasileva. Then the celebration continued with a music program in
which took part children from the kindergarten and the primary school. And
while in the big hall of the library small children sang and danced, in the
computer room older girls and boys took their seats in front of the
computers. Among the first visitors to the newly opened room was the mayor
Adem Azisov who expressed satisfaction with the quality of equipment,
software and the Internet speed.
At
4.30 pm was officially opened also the computer room at the Municipal
Library "P. Mateev” - Kotel. The celebration began with the performance of
students from the National School of Folk Arts “Philip Kutev”. The band was
cut by the Deputy Mayor of Kotel Vesselina Ruseva and the chief librarian
Vania Todorova. For the guests - representatives of cultural institutions
and schools in the city, students and citizens was presented an interesting
presentation about the history of the library automation,its achievements
in the main library and bibliographic processes and new information services
that will the libraries offer thanks to their participation in the project
"Global Libraries-Bulgaria”.
