Doors Open Day in “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional library

In “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional library become tradition on the eve of different national and international holidays connected with books, science and knowledge to be organized “Doors Open Days”. The serial doors open day was organized in occasion of the new school year on the 16th of September.
The library had prepared many surprises to all its readers for all ages but the accent was put over the activities direct to the pupils. Excursions in the library aimed to introduction with its information bases, new received books and the possibilities for meeting varied reader’s requirements were organized for all of the pupils. Were presented Eurodesk centre services and forthcoming projects in which they can to be involved. Full automatic servicing was demonstrated in the Foreign language centre and Free access hall №2. The full texts data base was presented in assistance of training in literarture, consisting over 1000 literary themes and essays at school programme for 7-12 class.
The site of the library was presented to the pupils /http://reglibsliven. iradeum.com/, the accent was put on making of references in the Electronic catalogue – books of the library, presented in Internet.
On the 16th of September the information services and making of one day readers’ cards was free of charge, one year readers’ cards were on price – 1 lv. – for readers to 14 years of age and 2 lv. – for readers over 14 years of age.
Pleasant surprises were pursuing the visitors of the library through the all day. The books and advertising materials were given as a present to all of the new subscribers of the library. Books were given as a present and to the regular readers of the library. The quiz “Do you know our library?” were carried out as a tradition. Each of the visitors took part in a lottery in which the winners also get a book as a present from the library.
The most active visitors of the library were the pupils from the Natural Mathematical Secondary School, Secondary School of Humanitarian Sciences and V Secondary School.
All the visitors filled in an inquiry, which have to orientates the leadership of the library about the directions of supplying and necessity from involving of new services, which the subscribers would like to receive in future.
