THE TRAVELLING LIBRARY WAS IN SLIVEN

            Sliven hosted the event of Bulgarian National Television “The Great Reading” on 9 December 2008 /Tuesday/. Visitors of the Travelling library gifted their favourite book and exchanged messages with other connoisseur of literature from other cities at 12.00 o’clock on “Tzar Osvoboditel” square /in front of the building of the Municipality/. The campaign aimed at connecting reading Bulgarians from the community of the great reading. Partners of the event in our town were Sliven Municipality and “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional library.           

            Young citizens of Sliven presented their essays on the topic: “Book in my life” within the framework of the event from 1.30 p.m. in the reading-rooms of “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional library.

            Many readers and citizens of Sliven took part in the campaign “The Great reading”.We showed that Sliven is a town of many talented artists connoisseur of the lovely book.

            Bulgarian National Television broadcasted a report about the event in the evening program “Home and Abroad” on 9 December and also an enlarged edition in the morning program “The Day Starts” on 10 December 2008.
