Rositsa Petrova Vasileva and Petya Kanevatook part in a working meeting on the international LITTLE project which took place in Genoa, Italy

 A working meeting on the international LITTLE project, sponsored by the EU, was held from 25 to 28 September 2005 in Genoa /Italy/. The project is carried out in partnership with: Centro in Europa /Genoa, Italy/; the Andersen prize and the Andersen Festival in Sestri Levante /Italy/; Märchenland V and the Mäerchentage /Berlin Festival of fairy-tales-Berlin, Germany; “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library – Sliven- the organizer of the only one in Bulgaria National Childeren’s Book Festival; the International Board of Books for Young People (Brussels, Belgium); Faculty of informational sciences at and its President Mr. Pino Boero; the Genoa University-Italy; Europe Direct Relay of Genoa and the European development agency, Eurete /Italy/.

Rositsa Petrova, a director of “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library-Sliven, and Petya Kaneva – a librarian, presented the Bulgarian participation in the project in the conference.  Details of the organization and implementation of the trans-national competitionEurope in a Tale”, the selection of the tales by the jury and the final meeting on the project in Brussels /Belgium/ were discussed.

The representatives of Sliven library visited many cultural monuments and the largest children’s library in Italy, which is located in Genoa – “Edmondo de Amicis”.
