The writer Vladimir Zarev presented his book on the Friday readings in the library Friday literary readings, which became a tradition and were expected with a great interest by the connoisseurs of modern literature, were organized on March 31 in “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library. The writer Vladimir Zarev-one of the most famous modern Bulgarian novelists and a winner of several national awards - presented his book “Decay” on the readings. Vladimir Zarev was born in Sofia in 1947. He has been working in the “Contemporary” literary magazine since 1974 and now he is an editor-in-chief of the magazine. He wrote 16 books, which are translated into Russian, German, English and other European languages, among which is the trilogy “The being”, “The exit”, “The choice”, the novels “The day of impatience”, “The greyhound”, “Year 1850”, “Priest Bogomil and the perfection of fear”, „Worlds”. One of his most famous novels is his novel “Decay”. “Decay” is a novel, which describes the image of contemporary life of last fifteen years. It has a simple construction, but it is very interesting reading it and unmasks sadness. The success of the writer /reissued six times for a short time / is not in the well-known reality, but in the masterly described idea that money is the reason for evil and misfortune and it change the normal human values. The book and the work of Vladimir Zarev were presented and analyzed by the literary critic Dr. Ivanka Deneva. The writer answered many questions of his fans concerning not only his novels “Decay” and “Worlds” and the forthcoming making films of the novels, but also questions about who is to blame for the nowadays “decay” in our country, about his prognosis about the development of political class in Bulgaria and what may ordinary people do against the lawlessness in Bulgaria. Some of the guests of the readings were the writer Atanas Slavov, the poetess Petya Alexandrova, journalists, Sliven writers and many fans of Vladimir Zarev’s work.
