Officially were opened computer labs equipped by the "Global Libraries – Bulgaria” project in the target libraries in the village of Staro Selo and the town of Kermen, Sliven municipality

In true celebrations of the local community became The ceremonies of the official openings of the computerlabs in the libraries at the community centre „Zvezda” in the village of Staro Selo and at the community centre “Probuda” in the town of Kermen held on the 8th of June 2011. The celebration in " Zvezda " community centre in Staro selo village was opened by the speech of the mayor of the village and the chairman of the community center's board Mrs Anka Drumeva. In her speech Mrs Drumeva expressed happiness and satisfaction from the successful participation of the community center in the project “Global Libraries-Bulgaria”. Mrs. Rosica Petrova-Vasileva - Regional Project Coordinator of the “Global Libraries-Bulgaria” project for Sliven region welcomed the attending members of the community center, amateurs, students and citizens. In her speech she highlighted the benefits for the local community from the inclusion of the library at "Zvezda" community centre in the village of Staro Selo in the project and wished by the new services that the library will offer it will become an attractive center for all residents of the village. Traditionally the tricolor band had been cut by Mrs. Rosica Petrova-Vasileva and the mayor of the village Mrs.Anka Drumeva after the speeches. The guests were shown a presentation devoted to the history and the present of the library and the main activities and achievements of the library.

The ceremony of the official opening of the computer lab in “Probuda” community centre in the town of Kermen began with a ceremony for health and wellbeing. Then Mrs. Rosica Petrova-Vasileva - Regional Project Coordinator of the “Global Libraries-Bulgaria” project for Sliven region welcomed by a speech the attending members of the library, amateurs, students, citizens. In it she thanked for the assistance of the local government to fulfill the conditions for inclusion of the library in the list of libraries in the project and stressed on the benefits to the town’s population from participating in it. Mr. Nikolai Kolev-the town's mayor- also expressed satisfaction from participation in the community center’s project. The official opening of the computer lab was traditionally accompanied by cutting the tricolor ribbon from Mrs. Rosica Petrova-Vasileva and Mr. Nikolay Kolev – a mayor. The celebration continued with performances by amateur groups from the community center.
