“Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library - Sliven has joined the "Time to move" information campaign on the largest European information and consulting network EURODESK
Sava Dobroplodni Regional Library - Sliven joined the “Time to move” information campaign as part of the EURODESK national network within a two-year contract between The Global Libraries – Bulgaria Foundation and the Human Resources Development Center for disseminating information about the EU Youth Platform - EURODESK. EURODESK is the largest European information-consultancy network designed to serve young people across Europe. It was created on a recommendation from the European Commission. EURODESK provides up-to-date information on opportunities for volunteering, work, training, travel, apprenticeships, competitions, competitions and other alternatives for education and training for young people. The Global Libraries - Bulgaria Foundation will carry out this work in partnership with the Sava Dobroplodni Regional Library in Sliven. On October 31st, 2017, on the eve of the Day of the Leaders of Bulgarian National Revival, the first library meeting with young people on the project took place in the Regional Library. Young people watched a presentation about EURODESK and the Time to Move campaign on the program Erasmus +. The main aim is to present travel and training opportunities to young people funded under different programs and to celebrate 30 years of the Erasmus + program. The students received flyers with information about the EURODESK platform and the European Youth Portal. A game entitled: "Explore Europe, seek information about a particular country, collect facts about the program" was also organized for them. Sava Dobroplodni Regional Library - Sliven develops its activities according to the accepted principles of youth information, providing free information and advices to young people, which they need in order to be active European citizens. |
