The historical novel “Bozguna 1912-1921”, written by Dr. Georgi Stoyanov, was presented in “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library on May 31, 2006 /Wednesday/, Reading- room № 2, at 5.30 p.m. Petar Dobrev presented the book. The author Dr. Georgi Stoyanov dedicated his novel to all the refugees from East and West Thrace, who became victims of the Turks in 1913, to all intern and vanished without a trace and to their descendents, who live today in Bulgaria. The historical novel covers the period of the Balkan war in 1912, the escape of four miserable families, refugees from East Thrace, /from which the author originated/ to the liberated Bulgaria in the summer of 1913, the trials of two families were described in the period of three exhausting wars, which brought to Bulgaria two national disasters and a loss of Bulgarian territories, and also terrifying Turkish violence over the Bulgarians in East and West Thrace in that times. There are several family photos and documents, published in the book, concerning giving land to several refugee families, which settled in Malko Chochoven village in 1926. There explanations of the Turkish words, used in the text, in order to be reached an authentic atmosphere of the described historical moment. “Bozgun” means a defeat, a crash, a debacle; broken, put to rout.
