The writer Alexander Tomov is well-known to Bulgarian readers for his sharp social-psychological prose in which the problems of nowadays are reflected. The novels of the “Vulture” series are dynamic, very intriguing and dramatic in the best sense of these words. The are series about the life of modern Bulgarian desperate and believing, loosing and winning, suffering and dreaming, denying and accepting the transition to democracy with all its dizzy changes. The series are about power and money, about their fatal role in the modern world; the truth about us which can be read all in a breath.

The new mission of Alexander Tomov, according to the critics is:

“... a public tribune, a leader of our sleeping consciousness, almost a prophet of our time. Tomov is a phenomenon. He was born talented, skilful story-teller, cleverly dosed romantic, holding on to the basic genre forms in literature classical songs verse, story prose, adventure novel, in which he implicates critical tang of irony and parody. He prefers the dynamically subject line, full of sudden changes in the narrative pace. ... His aim is to shock, to shake and to awake us.”
