A WORKING MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF TARGET LIBRARIES FROM SLIVEN REGION ON PROGRAM "GLOBAL LIBRARIES - BULGARIA" WAS HELD IN "SAVA DOBROPLODNI" REGIONAL LIBRARY

 A working meeting with representatives of the 24 targeted libraries from Sliven region included in the program "Global Libraries - Bulgaria" - Stages 2009 and 2010 was held on 30.09.2011 in "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library.

The Directress of "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library Rosica Petrova – a Regional Program Coordinator for Sliven region presented the schedule and logistics of the planned training program for the period 15 October - 30 December 2011. By the end of the year in the training base in "Sava Dobroplodni" will be held: two courses in direction 1 - "Information and communication technologies", one training on direction 2 - "Organization and management of work in public libraries", two trainings on direction 3 - "Services in modern library" and a training on module "Advocacy and project cycle management”. The 6 training will include more than 60 library professionals and staff from the community centers in the region.

The forms for quarterly reports on the activities of the target libraries were also discussed on the meeting, instructions for completing and sending the forms were presented.

A scheduled to check preparedness of libraries from Stage 2011 and the timetable for delivery, installation and commissioning of computer and peripheral equipment in them were presented. By the end of November seven more libraries in the area will be modernized and will begin to offer advanced information services and access to enormous information resources thanks to their participation in the program.
