MORE THAN 400 NEW READERS FOR THE CHILDREN’S DEPARTMENT OF "SAVA DOBROPLODNI" REGIONAL LIBRARY AFTER THE DAYS OF TALES IN THE PROGRAM "THE MAGICAL WORLD OF FAIRY TALES"

 From March 21 to April 1, 2016, on the eve of April 2^nd - International Children's Book Day, "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library - Sliven held the Days of tales "In the magical world of fairy tales" for seventeenth time.

Traditionally, this year in the library a fabulous theater opened its doors for students from first to fourth grades from different schools in Sliven. It offered unforgettable adventures with characters from favorite children's books. This year, the children met the characters of "Patilantsi’s kingdom" and "Kose Bose" by the great Bulgarian storyteller Ran Bosilek. They had fun with the adventures of Baba Tsotsolana and the noisy band of cheerful Patilancho and were involved in some of their experiences, they shared the troubles of small Kose - Bose and enjoyed the fair punishment to the bad fox. After the show children attended the Children's department of the library drawn by the shelves with colorful children's books.

Over the past two weeks more than 800 children from primary school "Vasil Levski", II primary school "Hristo Botev", III primary school "Dr. Ivan Seliminski", IV primary school "D. Petrov ", V secondary school "P. Yavorov" and XII primary school "Elisaveta Bagryana" visited the performances of the program "In the magical world of fairy tales". For 400 children it was their first visit to the library at all. Hungry for new adventures in the fairy world, they received their first library card and they are already registered readers of the Children's Department.

In the days of fairy tales in the library celebrations "I am now literate" for first graders of II elementary school "Hristo Botev", elementary school "Vasil Levski", XII primary school "Elizabeth Bagryana" and IV primary school "D.Petrov" were also held. This traditional event that has been hold for several years already in the library is the most important for first graders celebration which gather children and parents together around the idea that the love for a good book must be formed at a very early age; that love for reading is the foundation for success in life.

The organizers of these celebrations – administration and librarians from "Sava Dobroplodni" regional library- stayed satisfied from what has been done and the challenge to carry away with new initiatives more children in a wonderful journey into the realm of books.
