BABA MARTA’S WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG READERS IN SAVA DOBROLODNI REGIONAL LIBRARY

Traditionally, on the eve of the 1^st of March "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library - Sliven opens a Baba Marta’s workshop. Children from different schools took part in the making of beautiful martenitsi and destined them for health and good luck.

 Today, February 27^th, 2015, on the first day of the workshop, skillful children from the fourth class of 11^th Secondary school "Konstantin Konstantinov" visited the library and with incredible dexterity made over 50 original martenitsi and enchanted them with their smiles and cheerful mood. Students got acquainted with the traditions of the celebration of Baba Marta’s day, with the legend about the martenitsa, with folk customs connected with the celebration of the 1^st of March in different parts of the country, recited poems and wished themselves health and good luck.
