They received knowledge about computer use and hardware, acquired skills for: work with the most popular word processing program Word; work with external storage of information, work with Internet; recording, writing, sending, receiving e-mail messages; create Skype Account, sending a text attachments, etc. The training was conducted on a program adapted for children by a qualified engineer - teacher. The interest in the training was great, so the managing board of the library plans to organize similar courses during the school year. One more successful summer program of the library targeted at its youngest readers ended. The final results are - 365 new registered readers in children's department for July and August. Continuously increasing number of the youngest readers of the library is the result of active work to create interest in books and reading by non-traditional forms and methods, of enriching book fund of children's department, the various initiatives and getting children in an easy way in the virtual world by mastering knowledge and useful skills for work with computers. The fact that the library is already a desirable place for a pleasant and meaningful spending of the leisure time for many children of our city is great. |
