A commemorative evening dedicated to the 75 anniversary

of the writer Kamen Vasevski

         A commemorative evening dedicated to the 75 anniversary of the writer Kamen Vasevski was held in “Sava Dobroplodni" regional library - Sliven on February 26, 2010, as a part of the event February Friday readings. It was held as an initiative of the library with the support of Bulgarian Writers” Union.

         "Thirty books for so few years in which he lived, I think they would respect everybody ... Almost all genres are subordinated to him - poetry, fiction, journalism..." - these words of Georgi Yordanov - former Minister of Culture presented in brief and described whole life and work of Kamen Vasevski.

         Speech about the jubilee was read by the poet Christo Ganov - Member of the Board of the Bulgarian Writers’ Union. Tenko Tenev - poet, chairman of the association of writers in Yambol took part in the literary evening.

         Poems of Vasevski were performed by the actress Efimia Pavlova.

         Congratulatory addresses were read by the Mayor of Sliven, the Governor of Sliven region, “Sava Dobroplodni" regional library - Sliven, Club of cultural figures and other organizations and institutions.

         Among the guests were famous artists, public figures and many citizens.

         The event was held at Reading Room № 2 from 5.00 p.m.
