The festivities "Christmas in the library" in "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library ended
In one of the festively decorated halls of "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library with a special ceremony the festivities "Christmas in the library" ended on December 20, 2013. They took place from 2nd to 20th of December and included various initiatives – lectures about Christmas, competition for best Christmas card "Christmas Magic" and a literary contest "Letter to Santa", a fairy theater performance in which children created Christmas miracles, made fabulous adventures with the naughty Christmas elf, wrote letters to Santa.
The most expected by the many participants in both competitions was the official ceremony on 20th of December for announcing the results and awarding the winning participants. The festively decorated hall gathered winners in different age groups and categories and their friends. The ceremony was opened with a concert of Christmas songs performed by young talents from the club for young pop and rock artists "Rhythm" at the Children's Complex - Sliven led by Elena Peeva. С With many smiles, beaming with happiness children's faces and applause was accompanied the awarding of the winners in the competitions. The awards were rewarded by the Director of the Library Dr. Rosica Petrova-Vasileva. She congratulated all the participants, expressed her joy of their many talented works and wished them Merry Christmas, lots of health, happiness, smiles, dreams come true and success in future competitions of the library. The ceremony ended with a Christmas song, lyrics by Ivan Vazov. Again, librarians from "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library - Sliven made days before Christmas interesting and exciting for children and teenagers in our city. More than 2,000 children and adolescents from all schools in Sliven took part in the holiday initiatives of the library dedicated to Christmas, and in the literary contest "Letter to Santa" children from across the country participated.
