The Week of Tales in "Sava Dobroplodni"

Regional Library Ended

 Theatrical performances on favorite stories under the motto "In the magical world of fairy tales" were held in “Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library for the thirteenth year in a row from 12 to 19 March 2012.

This year's performances were based on tales of the famous Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and were devoted to 175th anniversary of his death. Young viewers, first graders and second graders from various schools in Sliven, experienced exciting moments with characters from some of the most beloved and popular tales of Pushkin - "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" and " The Tale of the Fisherman and the Goldfish". In the enigmatic territory of desire and fantasy, children met and befriended their favorite characters, they suffered their pains and joys, supported them, laughed at greed, stupidity and hypocrisy...

More than 400 children attended the 11th performances held. After the performances, they were able to visit the children's department of the library and register as patrons.

 This year the performances were implemented with the assistance of the Society for Friendship with the Peoples of Russia and CIS.

 Only a week later, from 26th to 30th March, the library will host celebrations of literacy of first graders from various schools in Sliven.

 By organizing the traditional already Days of fairy tales in the eve of the International Day of Children's Book / on the 2nd of April / and celebrations of literacy, the managing board of "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library aims to provoke interest in many children to books and reading, and to make them adopt the library as a place for acquiring knowledge and entertainment.
