Baba Marta in "Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library

Baba Marta opened the doors of her martenitsi workshop in the Children's Department of "Sava Dobroplodni" regional library again on the first of March. This time pupils from II primary school "Hristo Botev"- Sliven with their teacher Snezana Leshnikova assistanted her in her work. They made colorful and original martenisi and arranged them in an exhibition to make happy all children who visited the library on this beloved Bulgarian holiday. With much excitement the pupils told the visitors of the Children's Department the legend about the martenitsa and about traditions associated with this holiday. They all shared their experience in making the martenitsi included exposed in the exhibition. Librarians surprised their guests with funny rhymes, stories and funny stories about the vagaries of Baba Marta. At the end of the event each child received as a gift from the library martenisi with wishes for good health and luck.
