The last collection of poems of Zhivka Baltadzhieva "Never Other Poems" was presented in “Sava Dobroplodni” regional library The last collection of poems of Zhivka Baltadzhieva "Never Other Poems" was presented to fans of the fine poems on February 1, 2010 in17.00 in Reading Room № 2 of “Sava Dobroplodni” regional library, after successful premieres in Sofia, Plovdiv and Sliven. Zhivka Baltadzhieva’s work is defined by critics as uncharacteristical for the Bulgarian poetic tradition, poetry of the mind more than poetry of feelings. Observers outline also the particular style of her poems made up of many short phrases that say everything directly and hit exactly the target. Zhivka Baltadzhieva was born on September 23, 1947 in Sofia, but her childhood and adolescence pass in Sliven. She graduated in Bulgarian Philology at Sofia University in 1971. She has worked at the Bulgarian National Radio, and later, in section "Poetry" of "Plamak" magazine. Since 1994 she taught Bulgarian literature in the Complutense University of Madrid. She wrote four books of poetry: "Sun plaiting" (1971), "Daily lighting" (1982), “Mythologies without origin"(2007), "Never Other Poems" (2010), scenarios of many documentary films of directors like Oscar Kristanov and Yuri Zhirov and also of many translations from and into different languages. She published in Spain translations from Bulgarian of: "Spaces" (2006), an anthology of poetry of Blaga Dimitrova, highly appreciated by the Spanish and Latin American literary critics, 29 poems of Nikolai Kanchev (2005); “The Mysterious knight of the holy book” of Anton Donchev (co-authored, 2003) and also translations of poems by Botev, Elisaveta Bagriana, Ivan Tsanev etc. He has also written in Spanish language publications in specialized journals and books, research on certain aspects of Bulgarian literature and the works of major Spanish and Bulgarian artists. Regularly participates in international congresses Literature in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
