The project “Bulgarian libraries – contemporary reading and informative centers”

Finished the first session of the project “Bulgarian libraries – contemporary reading and informative centers”, started in May, 2007.

This is the first project, financed by the Bulgarian government to the total value of 2000 000 lvs, directly directed to completion of the funds of different by kind and subordination libraries.

The highest amount, for which the applicants may apply is 10 000 lvs, and the   most low is 500 lvs. The organization - applicants co-finance their own projects with 30%.

On the first session from Sliven region are presented 42 projects /the most many after Sofia and Plovdiv regions/, on total value of 46 000 lvs.

The most many are the projects from Sliven and Sliven region – 32; from Tvarditsa region – 2; from Kotel region – 2; from Nova Zagora region - 6. From all approved projects, 33 /1 of Regional library, 1 of the Military Club, 6 of schools and 34 of community centres/ are prepared with the assistance by the specialists from the Regional Library in Sliven.

The maximum amount 10 000 lvs has won only the project of “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library. Over 1200 books of over 45 Bulgarian publishing houses from different fields of the knowledge enriched the library funds.

“Pan”, “Hermes”, “Fiut, “Bard”, “Siela”, “Lettera”, “Kolibri” and “Prozoretz” publishing houses, with which the library traditionally works, placed additionally 300 volumes of books on total value 2300 lvs., as a donation at library’s disposal.
