Week of Francophonie in “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library - Sliven

Week of Francophonie was launched on  March 11 in “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library with a multimedia presentation on "French literature from medieval times to the XX century”- the week was devoted to the French language and culture. It was presented in front of student from 10 grade of “Zahari Stoyanov” Foreign languages high school. By the help of it students made a kind of literary tour through the ages. They have acquainted with interesting literary events of the main currents in French literature from IX to XX century, with the most famous French writers and their works.

The program of the events of the week of Francophonie in the regional library included organized visits to the Foreign languages center, presentation of literature by contemporary French writers, presentations devoted to world cultural monuments, museums and galleries in the French capital Paris, presentations of the works of famous French artists and others. The Week of Francophonie will end on 19 March on the eve of International Day of Francophonie, which is celebrated on March 20. The International Day of Francophonie has been celebrated since 1993 in Bulgaria.
