Literary evening with thе poetry of Violeta Kalaydjieva

"Sava Dobroplodni" Regional Library hosted the first event of the official program dedicated to St. Dimitar’s Day – the holiday of the town of Sliven – a Literary Evening with the poetry of the poetess Violeta Kalaydjieva, entitled "I am eager for sun and a rebellion", on October 17, at 5:00 pm.

The young poetess was born in Sliven. She graduated from the Law Faculty of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". She works as a prosecutor in Sliven District Court. She has published her works in different media. She has published collections of poetry "Shoes of Wind" (2001), "The Heart of Water" (2005) and "Coasts and crucifixes" (2012) .

Library’s hall barely accommodated all her guests - relatives, friends, fans of poetry of Violeta Kalaydjieva . Among the guests was also Ivan Slavov – a Deputy Mayor of Slive .

The literary evening was opened with a recital of poems of the poetess presented by actress Tanya Jorgova. The recitals included performances by the virtuoso classical violinist Blagovesta Kirilova too.

The literary critic Mirela Ivanova presented the work of poetess and analyzed her creative nature.

After the emotional speech by Mirela Ivanova, the excited poetess Violeta Kalaydjieva told the story of her first poetic attempts, of her favorite themes and images in the creative process, told about the poets who contributed most to her creative development.

Emotional speeches by Denyo Denev - the first editor of Violeta Kalaydjieva’s poems, Sonia Kelevedjieva and Ivanka Deneva followed.

At the end of the evening Violeta Kelevedjieva thanked guests who honored the event and the director of the library, Rosica Petrova - Vasileva, for their support and attitude towards her work.
