SLIVEN PARTICIPATION ON THE FESTIVAL OF CHILDREN’S HOMOUR IN LAZAREVATS /SERBIA/

The XIX Festival of Children’s humour took place from 17 to 21 of September in Lazarevats /Serbia/. Mrs Radmila Bulatovitch – directress of the Festival invited Mrs Rositsa Petrova – directress of Sliven Regional library to take par in the Festival’s program. Mrs Petrova presented the bilingual anthology /in Bulgarian and Serbian/ „Fallen pearls " – Favourite poems for children of favourite children’s poetesses”, published at the eve of the IX National Children’s Book Festival by the financial help of the Bulgarian Ministry of culture in front of the numerous guests writers, publishers, library specialists from different Serbian cities and from neighbour countries. Mr Dushan Djurdjev – a director of the International festival “Zmejeve deche igre” /Novi Sad/ took part in the presentation too. More than 40 copies of the anthology have been donated to the big Serbian libraries.

The multimedia presentation of the National Children’s Book Festival, which was included in the Festival’s program on the next day, was very interesting for the gusts. Elizabeta Georgieva /Dimitrovgrad, Serbia/ and Sasha Lukovich /Directress of the Children’s library in the town of Nish, Serbia/ shared their impressions as being guests of Sliven on the National Children’s Book Festival in front of the participants in the meeting.

There were suggestions for cooperation and exchange of ideas for participation of Serbian artists and library specialists in the program of the X National Children’s Book Festival  /Sliven,2008/.
