A computer lab on the project "Global Libraries-Bulgaria" has been opened on the Feast of the Holy Cross in the community center in Mechkarevo village in Sliven Municipality

The great Christian feast of the Holy Cross has been chosen by the board of the community centre "Prosveta-1925" – in Mechkarevo village to be the day for the opening of a computer lab on the project "Global Libraries Bulgaria." There are already 4 computers and 1 multifunctional device available to residents of the village in one of the halls of the renovated building of the closed school where three years ago the library at the Community Center was moved. There is also free internet access.

The opening ceremony was attended by Petya Rumenova – Secretary of Sliven Municipality, Rosica Petrova-Vasileva - Regional Coordinator of the "Global Libraries-Bulgaria" program for Sliven region, the mayor of Mechkarevo village G. Stoyanov, representatives of community centers of the municipality, residents of the village.

Rosica Petrova-Vasileva welcommed the audience by a speech which highlight the benefits for the local community from the participation of the community center in the project. His satisfaction with the modernization of the library also expressed the mayor of the village G. Stoyanov. Petya Rumenova wished the librarians and the members of the community centre to multiply the users of the library and of the new services will be offered in computer room.

Before the end of the ceremony in front of computers in the room stood the most eager users - the youngest readers of the library.
