А literary marathon entitled “Alone on a desert island”

            On April 12, 2011, from 12.00 in the children's department “Sava Dobroplodni”  regional library students from the fifth grades of II school “Hristo Botev”  will take part in a literary marathon entitled “Alone on a desert island”, dedicated to 280th anniversary of the death of Daniel Defoe - author of the novel “Robinson Crusoe” - a favorite book of generations of children all around the world. The book is included in the ranking of the “Little Big Reading” by BTV for the 100 most read books from Bulgarian children nowadays.

The participants in the marathon will be acquainted with the biography of Daniel Defoe and with interesting moments in the history of the writing of the world’s most famous novel, favorite passages from it will be read. In reading will also take part their teachers, and librarians from the Children's department of the library.

The Mini Marathon is one of the events by which young readers of Sliven Regional Library take part in the campaign “Little Big Reading”.
