CHILDREN’S DEPARTMENT

Possesses a rich book fund of literature, textbooks, school appliances, reference books and Bulgarian and foreign periodicals, satisfying the informational needs of children and young readers until 14 years old.

It helps readers to find the information they needs, according to their necessities, age, individual characteristics and interests.

Organizes meetings with authors, performances, literary readings, quizzes, exhibitions, competitions etc., and by the help of the National Children’s Book Festival, organized yearly by the active participation of the librarians, working in this department, they provoke an interest to books and reading in children from all ages in the whole country.

Librarians support a system of catalogues, showing inn whole the book fund of the department and making accessing it easier.

There is a copy service in the department at reader’s disposal.
